漢方字｜Glyph Of Herbal Medicine
漢字以筆畫構成文字，漢方以藥材結合成解藥。我們以藥材的外觀特性為造字法則，
設計出一套漢方字體，並以圖鑑概念製作三本百科全書，紀錄108種藥材，製作出漢方字組成的漢方百科。
Chinese Characters are made of various strokes, as how herbal medicines are composed of various ingredients.
Our project uses the features of each ingredient to create a full set of chinese words, along with three books that contains introduction of 108 different ingredients that completes our herbal medicine encyclopedia.
書籍以線裝方式呈現，三冊分別為溫性、平性、寒性。
封面以布料網印，源自古時候藥材經由布料裝袋，油墨將植物的細膩紋理刻印在布料纖維。
插畫使用精細線畫呈現原始藥材質感，畫面上的抽象字，以作品名稱三個字重新創造的漢方字
The book is binded with thread, using soft style, easy style and cold style for the three different books.
the cover uses fabric screen printing, this idea comes from the cloth bag used for gathering herbal ingredients in the past, and ink is used to print the pattern of plants onto the fabric.
The illustrations use neat lines to show the texture of the ingredients, and the three words on the picture are the Chinese characters for “Glyph of Herbal Medicines”, reconstructed in our style.
字體設計，源自植物細長的根部，依永字八法設計出基本字形，搭配藥材特性、顏色重新排列組合，
創造出帶有療效的漢方字，閱讀中，透過抽象文字的解字找到解藥，過程中增添趣味也幫助人們對漢方的認識及感受文字之美。
The font design is based on the roots of plants, and combined with the eight basic strokes of Chinese characters, and finally designed based on the features, colors and uses of each ingredient. this is how we create the Glyphs of herbal medicine, where you can find the right cure by simply reading the word.
